SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s track and field team started its indoor season Friday night at St. Thomas and came home with a number of encouraging results, including three first place finishes.
“We had many solid performances for our first meet,” Head Coach Dale Bahr said. “A lot of individuals performed where they left off last year and some showed they still need work, but it certainly was an encouraging meet.”
Noah Johnson won his first collegiate meet in the 800-meter with a time of 2:03.13. Taylor Rooney picked up right where he left off last season, winning the 60-meter hurdles in 8.33 and the high jump at 1.98 meters.
