SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s soccer team will look to snap it’s losing streak on Saturday as it travels to Arden Hills, Minn. to take on Bethel for an 11:30 a.m. contest. The Gusties have played an extremely tough schedule as of late playing three of the top four teams in the MIAC as well as a Wisconsin-La Crosse team who advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament last season. The road will get no easier with Bethel though as the Royals are third in the MIAC and boast an 8-2-1 overall record with 3-1-1 mark in the MIAC.
Abby Mullenbach (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) and Emily Skogseth (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.) pace the Gustie offense this season with Mullenbach scoring 10 points on four goals and two assists and Skogseth scoring three goals and recording three assists for a total of nine points. Chase Miller (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Lauren Johnson (So., Woodbury, Minn.) are the other Gusties who have found the back of the net multiple times with Miller netting three goals, and Johnson scoring two. Abby Goodno (Fy., Little Canada, Minn.) has started eight games in net, posting a 3-4-1 record with 59 saves and 11 goals against.
