Men’s Hockey Takes Down Cobbers 2-1 To Advance To MIAC Playoff Semifinal

Colton Schmidt's (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.) game-winner at 16:37 of the third period lifted the Gustavus men's hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Concordia College Thursday evening during a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoff Quarterfinal matchup at Don Roberts Ice Rink. 

Softball Begins 50th Season This Weekend At Rochester Regional Bubble

The Gustavus softball team is set to begin the 2018 season – its 50th at the College – this weekend at the Rochester Regional Bubble. The Gusties will take on Coe at 1 p.m. Saturday followed by UW-La Crosse at 5 p.m. and then on Sunday face Nebraska Wesleyan at 11 a.m. and Carroll at 1 p.m.

Gymnastics Finishes Regular Season With Weekend Dual Meets

The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to wrap up its regular season campaign with two upcoming Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual matches. The Gusties host Winona State University Friday on senior night prior to heading to Hamline University Sunday afternoon. 

Women’s Basketball Travels To Saint Ben’s For MIAC Playoff Semifinal Showdown

The Gustavus women’s basketball team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs Thursday at Saint Benedict. Tipoff for the semifinal game is 7 p.m. at the Claire Lynch Hall with a trip to the MIAC title game on the line. The No. 3 seed Gusties advanced to the semifinals with a 65-38 win over St. Catherine on Tuesday, while the No. 2 seed Blazers received a first round bye.  

Gustavus Set To Host ITA Division III National Men’s Team Indoor Championships

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the 18th annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Division III Indoor Championships Feb. 23-25 at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter, Minnesota. Eight of the top 16 teams in NCAA Division III men’s tennis will square off to determine the 2018 ITA National Indoor Champion.

Track & Field Set For MIAC Indoor Championships

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to compete at the MIAC Indoor Championships this weekend, hosted by Macalester College at Leonard Center in St. Paul, Minn. The heptathlon and pentathlon take place Thursday and Friday, while the field and track events are Friday and Saturday. Last season, the Gustie men took ninth place with 41 points, while the women took 11th with nine points.

Dominant Defense Guides Women’s Hoops To 65-38 Win Over St. Kate’s To Open Playoffs

A suffocating first half defensive performance by the Gustavus women’s basketball team Tuesday set the tone as it cruised to a 65-38 win over St. Catherine in a MIAC playoff quarterfinal game. The Gusties held the Wildcats to eight points in the first quarter and just three points in the second for a total of 11 after 20 minutes of play – the fewest points allowed in any half all season long. With the win, the Gusties advance to the semifinal round Thursday night at No. 2 seed Saint Benedict.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with Michael O'Neil (So., Edina, Minn.) receiving the accolade.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with McKayla Stowell (Jr., Le Sueur, Minn.) earning the track athlete of the week honor.

Women’s Basketball Hosts St. Kate’s In MIAC Playoff Quarterfinal

The Gustavus women’s basketball team begins Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs Tuesday at home against St. Catherine. The No. 3 seed Gusties finished the regular season 20-5 overall and 14-4 in the MIAC, while the No. 6 seed Wildcats finished 12-13 overall and 8-10 in the league.
