Special Teams Success Guides Women’s Hockey To 4-0 MIAC Semifinal Win Over Bethel
Four second period goals and a strong special teams performance by the Gustavus women’s hockey team resulted in a 4-0 win over Bethel Saturday afternoon in a MIAC semifinal playoff game at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The No. 5-ranked Gusties scored twice on the power play and killed off five Bethel skater advantages to advance to the MIAC championship game for the first time since 2014.

The No. 29-ranked Gustavus women's tennis team dropped a close match at No. 23-ranked DePauw University Saturday morning as its overall record falls to 1-3 on the season.
Women’s Hoops Set For MIAC Playoff Championship Rematch At St. Thomas
The Gustavus women's basketball team gets another shot at the league champion in the MIAC playoff title game today. The Gusties (22-5) travel to St. Paul with hopes of upending top seed St. Thomas (24-2) after losing in the conference championship game last season on the Tommies' home court. Tipoff at Schoenecker Arena is slated for 3 p.m.

Reminiscent of last spring’s NCAA region championship upset over Chicago, the Gustavus men’s tennis team had the defending national champion, Emory University, on the ropes all the way to the last singles pairing Friday night in the opening round of the ITA National Men’s Team Indoor Championships. But this time, the Gusties dropped a heartbreaker 5-4 to the No. 1 ranked team in the country, moving into the consolation bracket.

Men’s Hockey Faces St. Thomas In MIAC Semifinals
The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set to head to Mendota Heights, Minn. for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Semifinal at the University of St. Thomas Saturday evening. The No. 4 seeded Gusties (11-12-3, 9-7 MIAC) take on the No. 1 seeded Tommies (16-8-1, 11-4-1 MIAC) at 7 p.m. from St. Thomas Ice Arena.
Women’s Hockey Hosts Bethel In MIAC Playoff Semifinals
The No. 5-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team begins MIAC playoffs Saturday, hosting Bethel in the semifinal round. Puck-drop is set for 2 p.m. at Don Roberts Ice Rink. After claiming a share of their 15th MIAC regular season championship, the Gusties enter the game with a 19-2-4 record, while the Royals are 12-12-2 after defeating Concordia 4-3 in the quarterfinal round Thursday.
Women’s Basketball Advances To MIAC Title Game, Upsets Saint Ben’s 61-53
For the first time in program history, the Gustavus women’s basketball team won a MIAC playoff game on the road, upsetting No. 2 seed Saint Benedict 61-53 Thursday to punch its ticket to the conference championship game for the second straight year.
