Women’s Basketball Set For NCAA Tournament Game Against Rose-Hulman

The Gustavus women’s basketball team is set to take on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the opening round of the NCAA Championships at 5 p.m. Friday. The four-team regional round is hosted by UW-Whitewater with the host Warhawks taking on UW-Superior at 7 p.m. Friday. The winners Friday will face each other at 7 p.m. Saturday, with the winner advancing to the round of 16.

Miller, Rice, Gonsorowski Honored In MIAC Women’s Hoops Postseason Awards

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its women’s basketball postseason awards Wednesday afternoon, with four Gustavus student-athletes received recognition. Mikayla Miller (Sr., Goodhue, Minn.) and Miranda Rice (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) were named All-Conference, Ava Gonsorowski (Fy., Esko, Minn.) was named Rookie of the Year, and Kendall Thompson (Jr., Eden Prairie, Minn.) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Gymnastics Hosts 2018 WIAC/NCGA West Regional Championship

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the 45th annual 2018 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Gymnastics Championship/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association West Regional (presented by Culver’s) at Lund Center (Gus Young Court) on Sunday, March 4.

Men’s Hockey Set For MIAC Playoff Championship Versus Auggies

The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoff Championship contest Saturday evening at Augsburg University. The No. 4 seeded Gusties (12-12-3) take on the No. 3 seeded Auggies (17-9) at 7 p.m. from Ed Saugestad Rink.

Sharbono And Thomas Earn MIAC Men’s Basketball Postseason Accolades

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its men’s basketball postseason awards Tuesday and two Gustavus student-athletes received recognition. Riley Sharbono (Jr., Marshall, Minn.) was named to the Third Team while Kelsey Thomas (Sr., Wiesbaden, Germany) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention.

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Athlete of the Week award winner for men's tennis on Tuesday and Gustavus's Patrick Whaling (Jr., Manikob Sabot, Va.) was honored with the distinction.

Mike Middleton, head men’s soccer coach at Gustavus Adolphus College, has announced his retirement after eight seasons with the program.

Women’s Basketball Earns At-Large Bid To NCAA Championships, Faces Rose-Hulman At UW-Whitewater

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday afternoon announced the 64-team field for its Division III Women’s Basketball Championship and Gustavus (22-6) is selected to face No. 20-ranked Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (24-3) in the first round at 5 p.m. Friday, March 2, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Five Gusties Named MIAC Women’s Hockey All-Conference

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its women’s hockey postseason awards Monday afternoon and five Gusties were named All-Conference. Diana Draayer (Sr., Deephaven, Minn.), Kaitlyn Klein (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.), Erica Power (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.), Kristen Cash (So., Roseville, Minn.), and Amanda DiNella (Jr., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.) received All-MIAC recognition for their performances throughout the 2017-18 regular season.
