ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s basketball team travels to Northfield, Minn. tomorrow for a 7 p.m. conference game at Carleton. The Gusties enter the contest 9-2 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC, while the Knights are 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the league.

The Series: Wednesday’s game marks the 75th meeting between Gustavus and Carleton with the Gusties holding a 52-22 advantage in the all-time series. Gustavus has won the last 15 meetings, dating back to Jan. 21, 2009 when Carleton won 51-46. Last season the Gusties defeated the Knights 99-45 in Northfield and 73-44 in St. Peter.
Scouting the Knights: Carleton returns to its home court after playing the last four games on the road, going 2-2 in that stretch. The Knights most recently lost 86-59 to Elmhurst on Dec. 17. After 10 games this season, four Knights average double figures scoring led by Katie Chavez with 12.4 per game. Samantha Cooke, Cece Leone, and Sarah Waldfogel average 11.9, 10.2, and 10.0 points per game, respectively. Anne Hamilton is a presence down on the low blocks, averaging a team-high 9.2 rebounds per game (3rd/MIAC) along with 8.3 points. Carleton averages 63.5 points per game and shoots 39.7 percent from the floor.
