Men’s Swimming & Diving Wins Grinnell Pioneer Classic

The Gustavus men’s swimming & diving team took first place out of 11 teams Saturday at the Pioneer Classic, hosted by Grinnell College. The Gusties accumulated 1381.5 points, nearly 200 points more than second place Grinnell. After racing out to a first place start in Session 1 Friday night, the Gusties won five of 15 events on Saturday and placed in the top-three in seven other events.

Women’s Basketball Wins Big In Conference Opener, 88-47 Over St. Olaf

After starting slow for the second consecutive game Saturday with just 11 points in the first quarter, the Gustavus women’s basketball team was able to kick it in gear during the second quarter and cruised to an 88-47 win over St. Olaf. The No. 12-ranked Gusties, who were able to play all 17 members on the roster, improve to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf drops to 2-6 overall and 0-1 in the league.

Women’s Hockey Completes Sweep, Defeats Bethel 4-2

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team completed the sweep over Bethel University on Saturday afternoon, winning 4-2 at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The victory moves the Gusties to 6-1-1 overall and 5-1 in the MIAC, while the Royals fall to 3-6-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the league.

Men’s Hoops Snaps Losing Streak Versus St. Olaf For Second-Straight MIAC Win

The Gustavus men's basketball team defeated St. Olaf 67-62 Saturday afternoon at Gus Young Court, snapping a 10-game losing streak against the Oles for a second consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory.

Men’s And Women’s Swimming & Diving Squads Sit In First Place After Session 1 At Pioneer Classic

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams kicked off competition Friday at the Grinnell Pioneer Classic and both teams sit in first place after the first session. The Gustie men accumulated 523 points, ahead of second place Grinnell with 310 points, while the Gustie women posted 392 points, ahead of second place Grinnell with 286 points

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team defeated Bethel University 3-1 Friday night. The win moves the Gusties to 5-1-1 overall and 4-1 in the MIAC, while the Royals fall to 3-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the league.

Klug, Larson Named November Student-Athletes Of The Month

Cross country runner Sadie Klug (Sr., Waseca, Minn.) and swimmer Nolan Larson (Fy., West Des Moines, Iowa) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College November Female and Male Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

Women’s Hockey Back To MIAC Action This Weekend Against Bethel

After nearly two weeks off, the No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team is set to compete against Bethel in a home and home series this weekend. Friday’s game in Blaine starts at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game in St. Peter begins at 2 p.m. The Gusties enter the weekend with a 4-1-1 overall record and 3-1 mark in the MIAC, while the Royals are 3-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the league.
