Strong Second Half Start Leads To Women’s Basketball 71-50 Win Over UW-River Falls
After a slow start to Thursday’s non-conference women’s basketball game, Gustavus used a big third quarter, outscoring UW-River Falls 26-13, en route to a decisive 71-50 victory at Gus Young Court. The win moves the No. 12-ranked Gusties to 4-0 on the season, while the Falcons drop to 3-2.
Ashley Becker Named United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America
United Soccer Coaches announced Thursday the association’s NCAA Division III Women’s All-America Teams on the eve of the 2017 NCAA Championship semifinals in Greensboro, N.C. and Gustavus goalkeeper Ashley Becker (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) has been named First Team All-America. The First Team consists of 15 players, but just one keeper. Becker is also the only First Teamer from an institution that did not qualify for the national tournament.
Women’s Basketball Hosts UW-River Falls Tonight
The No. 12-ranked Gustavus women’s basketball team is back home tonight for a non-conference game against UW-River Falls, starting at 7 p.m. The Gusties enter the contest with a 3-0 record, while the Falcons are 3-1.
Men’s Hockey Returns To Action With Bethel Series, Hosts Teddy Bear Toss Friday
The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set to return to action, coming off Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action, taking on Bethel University. The Gusties (4-3-1, 3-1 MIAC) host the Royals (1-10, 1-4 MIAC) during the second annual Teddy Bear Toss benefit on Friday prior to Bethel hosting on Saturday.

The Gustavus men's basketball team's 52.9 percent field goal percentage and 53-28 first half propelled it to a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opening victory over Saint Mary's University Wednesday evening, winning 85-65 at Gus Young Court.
Ashley Becker Earns Third Consecutive All-North Region Nod
For the third consecutive season, Gustavus women’s soccer goalkeeper Ashley Becker (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) has been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-North Team, which was released Wednesday morning. After earning First Team honors in 2015 and Third Team last season, Becker is back on the First Team after claiming MIAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades.

Gustavus Adolphus College’s student fan organization, The Hill Crew, is holding its second annual Teddy Bear Toss benefit on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. as the Gustavus men’s hockey team hosts Bethel University.

Women’s Hoops Cruises To 78-45 Win At Martin Luther
Monday’s non-conference women’s basketball game got off to a slow start with just one bucket from each team in nearly the first five minutes, but after giving up the first two points of the game Gustavus took a lead it would not relinquish against Martin Luther in a 78-45 decision. The Gusties found their stride late in the first quarter and held at least a 20-point lead throughout the second half, cruising to their third victory in as many games to start the season.
Women’s Basketball Travels To Martin Luther Tonight
The No. 16-ranked Gustavus women’s basketball team travels to New Ulm, Minn. tonight for a non-conference game at Martin Luther College, starting at 7:30 p.m. The Gusties enter the game with a 2-0 overall record, while the Knights are 1-3.
