Beulke Named MIAC Football Offensive Player Of The Week

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its football Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with Gustavus dual threat Jamison Beulke (Jr., Montgomery, Minn.) earning the Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Men’s Golf Places Sixth At Saint John’s Fall Invite

The Gustavus men’s golf team Sunday concluded play at the Saint John’s Fall Invitational, played at Greystone Golf Club, taking sixth place out of 17 teams. The Gusties posted a 311-300-611, which was 18 stokes off the winning team and host Saint John’s. The University of Manitoba shared medalist honors by carding a 593 as well, while St. Thomas took third with a 599.

Women’s Golf Sits In Fourth Place After Day One At NCAA Preview

Competing against some of the best teams in the country, the Gustavus women’s golf team sits in a tie for fourth place after round one at the NCAA Division III Preview, which is being played at Mission Inn Resort. The Gusties fired a first round 325, which is 27 strokes behind the leader New York University. Carnegie Mellon is in second place at 322 and Washington and Lee is in third at 323.

Football Prevails Over Augsburg In Offensive Shootout

The Gustavus football team claimed a 42-37 victory over Augsburg University in its Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference opener on Saturday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field. 

Men’s Soccer Claims 2-1 Win Over Concordia

The Gustavus men's soccer team defeated Concordia College 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Gustie Soccer Field, claiming its first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory. 

Volleyball Claims Two More Wins To Conclude UW-Eau Claire Tourney

The No. 14-ranked Gustavus volleyball team defeated the University of Chicago and Lakeland University during day two of the Nike/Eastbay Fall Classic on Saturday, improving its overall record to 12-1 on the season. 

Women’s Soccer Erases One-Goal Deficit For 2-1 Victory Over Concordia

In front of a record-setting crowd Saturday for a women’s soccer game at the Gustie Soccer Field, Gustavus erased a second half 1-0 deficit and came away with an emotional 2-1 victory over Concordia on a day that celebrated Trina Rinke – a would-be junior defender who is missing the season as a result of her treatment for ovarian cancer, which was diagnosed this summer.  

Women’s Cross Country Takes Eighth At St. Olaf, Men 10th

The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in the St. Olaf Invitational Saturday morning with both squads finishing in the top-10. The women placed eighth of 23 teams, while the men took 10th out of 19.

Men’s Golf In Ninth Place After First Round At Saint John’s Fall Invite

The Gustavus men’s golf team shot a first-round 311 (+23) Saturday at the Saint John’s Fall Invitational – played at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course – which has the Gusties sitting in ninth place out of 17 teams. The University of Manitoba leads the field after posting a 294. UW-Eau Claire is in second with a score of 295 and St. Thomas is in third with a 302.
