ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team is set to compete at the College City Challenge, hosted by Carleton College, at Bellwood Oaks Country Club in Hastings, Minn. on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s first tee time is 10:15 a.m., while Sunday’s final round begins at 9 a.m.
Jessica Nelson (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) and McKenzie Swenson (Sr., Buffalo, Minn.) have led the Gusties throughout the fall season. Nelson took 23rd at the NCAA Preview last weekend, competing against a nationally-ranked field of 77 golfers. Swenson and Morgan Bleyhl (So., Elk River, Minn.) shared medalist honors at the UW-Eau Claire Invite two weeks ago.
This weekend’s field includes Augsburg, Bethel, Concordia-Moorhead, Gustavus, Saint Benedict, St. Kate’s, St. Olaf, St. Thomas, and Wartburg.
