BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Volleyball Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with Gustavus defensive specialist Brittany Luethmers (Jr., Prior Lake, Minn.) earning the Libero of the Week honor.

Luethmers led a Gustavus defense that went 3-1 over the weekend and improved its record to 7-1 overall at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Tournament. The Gusties dropped their first set and match of the season during game two on Friday against No. 12-ranked Millikin University and bounced back with wins over Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Edgewood College on Saturday.

Averaging 5.4 digs per set, including a season-high 26 digs in the 3-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point. Totaling 81 digs in four matches, Luethmers passed two Gusties on the career digs leader-board and now sits third all-time with 1,276 career digs.
