Late Goal Pushes Women’s Soccer Past UW-Stout 2-1

For the second straight game, the Gustavus women’s soccer team claimed a 2-1 victory, this time against the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Tuesday. A goal with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation proved to be the game-winner for the Gusties as they improve to 5-1-1 overall, while UW-Stout drops to 1-4.

Volleyball Hosts Carleton For Home Opener

The No. 10-ranked Gustavus volleyball team is set for its 2017 home opener after beginning with the season with 13 road matches. The Gusties host Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Carleton College on Wednesday evening at Gus Young Court.

Men’s Soccer Continues Home Stretch With Two Games

The Gustavus men’s soccer team has two games ahead this week at Gustie Soccer Field, hosting a non-conference match against Viterbo University on Wednesday prior to a homecoming matchup versus the University of St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon. 

Women’s Golf Takes Eighth In Highly Competitive NCAA Preview

The Gustavus women’s golf team concluded play at the NCAA Division III Preview on Monday, taking eighth place out 14 teams in a nationally ranked field. The Gusties posted a 325-330-655, which was 49 strokes behind the winner New York University. Carnegie Mellon took second with a 639 and Washington and Lee placed third with a 641.

Women’s Soccer Hosts UW-Stout Tuesday In Non-League Match

The Gustavus women’s soccer team continues its homestand at 4 p.m. Tuesday as it hosts the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The Gusties enter the match 4-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after a 2-1 victory Saturday against Concordia, while the Blue Devils are 1-3 overall after most recently defeating UW-Superior 4-0 last Wednesday.

Kate Holtan Named MIAC Volleyball Hitter Of The Week

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Volleyball Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with Gustavus right side/outside hitter Kate Holtan (Fy., Rochester, Minn.) earning the Hitter of the Week honor.   

Beulke Named MIAC Football Offensive Player Of The Week

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its football Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with Gustavus dual threat Jamison Beulke (Jr., Montgomery, Minn.) earning the Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Men’s Golf Places Sixth At Saint John’s Fall Invite

The Gustavus men’s golf team Sunday concluded play at the Saint John’s Fall Invitational, played at Greystone Golf Club, taking sixth place out of 17 teams. The Gusties posted a 311-300-611, which was 18 stokes off the winning team and host Saint John’s. The University of Manitoba shared medalist honors by carding a 593 as well, while St. Thomas took third with a 599.

Women’s Golf Sits In Fourth Place After Day One At NCAA Preview

Competing against some of the best teams in the country, the Gustavus women’s golf team sits in a tie for fourth place after round one at the NCAA Division III Preview, which is being played at Mission Inn Resort. The Gusties fired a first round 325, which is 27 strokes behind the leader New York University. Carnegie Mellon is in second place at 322 and Washington and Lee is in third at 323.

Football Prevails Over Augsburg In Offensive Shootout

The Gustavus football team claimed a 42-37 victory over Augsburg University in its Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference opener on Saturday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field.
