BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Casey Lewandoski (Jr., Fairbanks, Alaska) appeared in three games and earned wins against Augsburg and St. Thomas. Throughout the week, Lewandoski threw seven innings of scoreless relief, allowing just three hits, while striking out four batters. The Fairbanks native tossed five innings of shutout baseball against St. Thomas in the season finale, earning the win in a 13-inning contest. Lewandoski dropped his season ERA from 3.64 to 2.95 and finished the year with 19 appearances, setting a new Gustavus program record for most appearances in a single season. Gustavus has now finished the season with the league’s pitcher of the week for the second consecutive season. Jacob Volness earned the award at the end of last season.
