The Gustavus softball team was swept by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leader in the College of Saint Benedict Saturday afternoon, losing 7-4 and 5-3 at Gustie Softball Field.

Women’s Tennis Drops Two To Start Midwest Invite

The No. 36-ranked Gustavus women’s tennis team started play at the Midwest Invite Friday with two matches against nationally ranked opponents, losing 8-1 to No. 23 Hope before falling 6-3 to No. 10 Washington-St. Louis. The losses drop the Gusties to 11-6 overall.

Softball Splits Non-Conference Doubleheader Versus St. Scholastica

The Gustavus softball team split a non-conference doubleheader against the College of St. Scholastica Friday afternoon, defeating the Saints 8-0 in game one before falling 7-5 in game two.

St. James Pitching Duo Leads Baseball To Sweep Over UW-Superior

The pitching duo of St. James, Minn. natives Sam Carlson and Kyle Pinke kept the University of Wisconsin-Superior bats silent Friday in a non-conference home opening doubleheader as the Gustavus baseball team swept 9-2 and 15-1. Carlson pitched a complete game in the opener, while Pinke went six scoreless in game two for the pair of victories, improving the Gusties to 13-7 overall.

No. 31 Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Non-Conference Schedule With Weekend Matches

The No. 31-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team is set to close out non-conference play this weekend is West Bend, Wis., facing DePauw University on Sunday prior to facing the No. 5-ranked University of Chicago.

Women’s Golf To Head To WashU Spring Invite

The Gustavus women’s golf team opens its first spring competition this weekend, traveling to St. Louis, Mo. to participate in the Washington University Spring Invitational.

Baseball Hosts Home Opening Weekend With Two Doubleheaders

After 18 games on the road to start the season, the Gustavus baseball team is finally at home this weekend for a pair of doubleheaders at the Gustie Baseball Field. The Gusties host UW-Superior today at 2 p.m. and then face Hamline at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Gustavus enters the weekend 11-7 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC, while UW-Superior is 2-12 overall (0-0 UMAC) and Hamline is 8-12 overall (2-2 MIAC).

Softball Set For Three Doubleheaders

The Gustavus softball team has three upcoming doubleheaders Friday through Sunday, hosting the College of St. Scholastica and the College of Saint Benedict Friday and Saturday prior to heading to Macalester College on Sunday.

The Gustavus baseball team split a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader Wednesday at Saint Mary’s, winning the first game 5-1 before losing 11-7 in the nightcap. The split moves the Gusties to 11-7 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC, while the Cardinals move to 11-10 overall and 1-1 in the league.
