ST. PETER, Minn. – The No. 21-ranked Gustavus women’s golf team continues spring competition tomorrow, heading to Becker, Minn. to participate in the Battle at the Creek.
The 36-hole event hosted by Bethel University is set for Pebble Creek Golf Course. Teams will hit the course for the opening round Friday at 12:30 p.m. with the final round set for Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
Last weekend, the Gusties competed in the Washington University in St. Louis Spring Invitational and finished second of 15 teams. Mae Meierhenry (Sr., Sioux Falls., S.D.) led Gustavus, carding scores of 72 and 77 to finish as the runner-up individually. For her performance, she earned Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week honors.
