The Gustavus men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up competition at the 2017 NCAA Championships Saturday, highlighted by two All-American finishes from Tanner Sonnek and an honorable mention honor for the women's 200-yard freestyle relay team.

Amanda DiNella Becomes First Gustavus Women’s Hockey Goaltender Named All-America

Gustavus women's hockey sophomore goaltender Amanda DiNella was selected to the 2017 NCAA Division III CCM Women's Hockey All-American West First Team, released this evening by the American Hockey Coaches Association. DiNella becomes the 15th player, fifth sophomore, and first ever goalie in Gustavus Women's Hockey history to earn the prestigious honor, the last recognition coming from current assistant coach Courtney Boucher in 2015.

Women’s Hockey Prepared For NCAA Championship Weekend

The Gustavus women’s hockey team is set for the 2016-17 NCAA Division III Championship semifinals this weekend in Adrian, Mich., hosted by Adrian College. The Gusties will take on Adrian College Friday evening with the winner moving on to the championship game versus Plattsburgh State or Norwich University at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. Central) Saturday, while the loser will play in a third place game at 3 p.m. (2 p.m. Central).

Kopp Named WIAC All-Around Gymnast Of The Week For Performance During Senior Night

Alex Kopp (Sr., Wayzata, Minn.) led Gustavus Adolphus in its regular season finale against UW-La Crosse last Friday, which was also the last home meet at the Sponberg Gymnastics Studio. She placed second on vault with a 9.575, third on bars with a career-high 9.500, sixth on beam with a 9.275, and won the floor exercise with a season-high 9.650. Kopp’s efforts combined for a first place all-around finish with a season-high 38.000.
