Men’s Tennis Posts 14th Straight Win Posted on March 11th, 2017 by

ST. PETER, Minn. – The No. 23-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team earned wins over St. Olaf College, Saint Mary’s University, and Luther College Saturday to improve its record to 14-2 overall and 6-0 during Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Play.

The Gusties won each each game by a score of 9-0 to record 14 consecutive wins.

“The guys put together a great day today,” said Head Coach Tommy Valentini. “Our leadership was excellent. The team competed hard and supported each other beautifully. Doubles were key for us to get leads on the scoreboard but also in establishing the way we wanted to play. In singles the guys stuck to their game plans and stayed poised. It was a great team effort to bring energy and focus for each other today. We’ll look to build on this effort moving forward.”
