BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus forward Kaitlyn Klein (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) helped guide the Gusties to a series sweep over Bethel over the weekend to push Gustavus into sole possession of first place in the MIAC. The Gusties also locked up a spot in the five-team MIAC Playoffs thanks to the sweep. Friday, Klein picked up a career-high two assists, including the assist on the game-winning  goal, in Gustavus’ 4-2 home win. Saturday, she scored her team-leading 10th goal of the season to open the scoring, and it ended up being the eventual game-winner in the 3-0 shutout victory on the Royals’ home ice. Klein’s six game-winning goals lead the MIAC, her five power-play goals rank second and her 10 goals also have her in the conference’s top 10.
