Gymnastics Makes Big Score Improvement In Dual Loss At Winona State

The Gustavus gymnastics team showed a big improvement Friday from its first meet of the season last week, scoring 182.400 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual loss to Winona State, who tallied 184.150. The jump of nearly seven points from last week is the largest team score improvement in consecutive meets since the 2011 season.

Men’s Swim And Dive Takes Down Carleton, 189-109

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving squad competed in a dual meet Friday evening at Carleton College and escaped with a 189-109 victory.

Men’s Basketball Travels To Carleton Saturday

The Gustavus men’s basketball team hits the road Saturday for the first time since Dec. 29, taking on Carleton for a 3 p.m. Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game. The Gusties enter the game 3-10 overall and 3-5 in the MIAC after a 93-82 loss to Bethel on Wednesday, while the Knights are 4-8 overall and 1-6 in the league after a 63-55 loss to Concordia on Wednesday.

Men’s Hockey Wraps Up Non-Conference Play This Weekend In Wisconsin

The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set for a two-game road trip this weekend against a pair of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams. The Gusties take on UW-Superior at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by UW-River Falls at 7 p.m. Saturday, which marks the final non-conference game of the season. Gustavus enters the weekend with a 1-8-4 overall record after a 3-3 tie against UW-Stout last Saturday. The Yellowjackets are 4-11-1 after a 1-0 loss to Saint John’s on Saturday, while the Falcons are 6-9-1 after a 2-1 loss to Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday.

No. 24 Women’s Hoops Heads To Carleton
