Krasaway Earns Second MIAC Golfer of the Week Honor

The long winter layoff certainly didn't seem to affect the Gustavus men's golf team, or Gustie senior Andrew Krasaway (Hermantown, Minn.). The Gusties won their third-straight team title at last weekend's Saint John's Spring Invitational, and Krasaway rode a remarkable school-record opening-round score to medalist honors to continue his outstanding spring performance. For his performance, the MIAC sports information directors honored Krasaway Wednesday with his second MIAC Men's Golf Athlete-of-the-Week award of the spring.

Despite Outhitting Concordia, Baseball Drops Two In Moorhead

The Gustavus baseball team outhit Concordia 19-12 on Tuesday, but ended up losing a pair of MIAC games 5-0 and 4-2, dropping to 13-17 overall and 4-10 in the league.

Alhouni Earns Fourth MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week Honor

The biggest match of the MIAC men's tennis regular season happened Saturday, when the league's two undefeated teams squared off. Gustavus and star sophomore Mohanad Alhouni (Tripoli, Libya) emerged with an 8-1 win over Carleton to claim the conference title and continue a remarkable run of MIAC success, with Alhouni leading the way with wins at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. For his performance, the MIAC sports information directors honored Alhouni Tuesday with his fourth MIAC Men's Tennis Athlete-of-the-Week award of the 2016 season.

Softball Sweeps St. Olaf After Rain Delay

After a brief downpour delayed play for more than an hour Monday, the Gustavus softball team finished off game one with a 5-2 victory over St. Olaf and completed the sweep with a 3-0 decision, improving to 20-10 overall and 11-5 in the MIAC.

Men’s Golf Earns Third Straight Meet Championship With Win At Saint John’s Invite

One day after senior Andrew Krasaway tied the Gustavus record for lowest individual round in school history, he and his Gustie teammates earned their third consecutive meet championship by taking the Saint John's University title, which finished at the Monticello Country Club on Sunday. The Gusties finished with a three-round total of 859, four strokes ahead of second place University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Softball’s Sunday Home Doubleheader Against St. Olaf Postponed To Monday

The Gustavus softball team’s Sunday home doubleheader against St. Olaf has been postponed to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Gustie Softball Field. Fans who cannot make the game can follow online with live video and stats.

Baseball Bounces Back With Sweep Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus Adolphus College baseball team swept St. Olaf College in Saturday’s doubleheader after winning the first game 15-2 and the second 9-8. The Gusties are now 12-15 overall and 4-8 in the MIAC while the Oles fall to 8-19 overall and 2-10 in the league.

In a battle of the MIAC's top teams, the Gustavus Adolphus College softball team was bested by the University of St. Thomas in a doubleheader at South Field on Saturday. The Tommies earned narrow 3-1 and 4-3 wins, respectively to drop the Gusties to 18-9 overall and 9-4 in the conference.
