Softball Sweeps Concordia To Wrap Up Regular Season

The Gustavus softball team concluded the regular season Tuesday by sweeping Concordia 7-2 and 5-2, improving to 26-10 overall and 17-5 in the MIAC. The Gusties enter the MIAC playoffs as the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 St. Catherine at 5 p.m. Friday in St. Paul. Regular season MIAC champion St. Thomas hosts the entire playoff. The Gusties and Tommies both come into the tournament with eight-game winning streaks.

Krasaway, Sonnesyn Named April Student-Athletes-Of-The-Month

Senior golfer Andrew Krasaway (Hermantown, Minn.) and senior distance runner Marit Sonnesyn (Plymouth, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College April Male and Female Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

Men’s Golf Concludes Regular Season With One-Stroke Dual Loss To St. Thomas

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team concluded its regular season with a one-stroke loss - 308-307 - in a dual meet played Sunday afternoon at Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course. After seeing the Tommies in eight rounds the past three weekends and defeating their St. Paul foe by a total of 58 strokes through those rounds, Sunday was the first time all spring the Gusties fell to St. Thomas. Gustavus now awaits its postseason fate that will be determined by the NCAA Selection Committee late Monday afternoon.

Women’s Tennis Blanks Macalester 9-0 To Claim Second Straight MIAC Title

For the second consecutive season, the Gustavus Adolphus College women’s tennis team earned the MIAC Regular Season Championship, blanking Macalester College 9-0 on Sunday at the Hayden Tennis Courts. The win pushed the Gusties’ final regular season record to 19-7, including a 9-1 mark in the conference, putting them in a three-way tie with Carleton College and the University of St. Thomas who also each finished 9-1.

Matthew Boyce Invited To Minnesota Vikings Rookie Camp

Gustavus’s two-time All America wide receiver Matthew Boyce (Sr., Excelsior, Minn.) is turning his dreams into reality. Sunday it was publicly announced that Boyce has been invited to the Minnesota Vikings rookie camp, which begins Thursday at Winter Park.

Women’s Golf Finishes Third at Carleton Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team concluded its regular season on Sunday by finishing third at the Carleton Invite that was played at Bellwood Oaks Golf Course. The Gusties scored a 327 in the second round to finish with a 651 total, just seven strokes behind champion Carleton.

Softball Clinches No. 2 Seed In MIAC Playoffs, Sweeps St. Kate’s

The Gustavus softball team made a statement Sunday, sweeping St. Catherine 2-0 and 2-1, leapfrogging the Wildcats into second place in the MIAC standings and clinching the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. The conference playoff berth is the 13th consecutive for the Gusties as they have qualified for the MIAC tourney in every season (11) under the direction of Head Coach Jeff Annis. Gustavus is now 24-10 overall and 15-5 in the league with two regular season games left.

Pitching Dominates In Baseball Sweep Over UM-Morris

Pitching was at a prime Sunday afternoon at the Gustie Baseball Field as Gustavus swept visiting UM-Morris 4-0 and 3-0, allowing just five hits between both games, improving to 16-18 overall.

Women’s Golf Tied For Carleton Invite Lead After Day One

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team is tied for the Carleton Invite lead after the first round that was played at Bellwood Oaks Golf Course. The Gusties scored a 324 and are tied with the University of St. Thomas going into tomorrow's second round that will also be played also Bellwood.
