ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s hockey team enters its third Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series of the season as it takes on the Saint John’s Johnnies in an away-home series Thursday and Saturday. The Gusties enter this weekend’s series with a 1-6-1 overall record (0-4 MIAC) after facing No. 10 Augsburg last weekend – the Gusties fell to the Auggies 3-0 in Minneapolis, followed by a close 2-1 loss in St. Peter. The Johnnies enter with a 5-4-1 overall record (2-2 MIAC) after dropping a 5-4 decision to Marian University, followed by a 6-1 win over Lawrence University. Both games were played at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center last weekend.
Tonight’s game in St. Cloud, Minn. begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game begins at 7:05 p.m. in St. Peter, Minn.
