PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s hockey team hosts its home opener at 7:05 p.m. tonight against a formidable opponent in defending national champion and No. 1-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The Gusties enter tonight’s game 1-1 after splitting their two contests at the MIAC Showcase last week, while the Pointers are 2-0 after defeating Aurora and Lawrence last week. Gustavus wraps up the weekend tomorrow night at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The Blugolds are 2-0 with wins over Finlandia and St. Scholastica.
