ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s golf team is set to return to Minnesota for the remainder of the spring this weekend, as it will compete in the Augsburg College Spring Invite this Saturday and Sunday. The 36-hole tournament will take place in Becker, Minn. at Pebble Creek Golf Course.

The Gusties are most recently coming off a fifth place finish in the Camp Lejeune Invite in North Carolina this past weekend. The Black and Gold shot an 879 (+23) over the three-day tourney, which included two days of wet and windy conditions. Gustavus finished just 16 and 19 shots, back of No. 2 Oglethorpe and No. 1 Methodist, respectively.

On an individual basis, seniors Andrew Krasaway (Hermantown, Minn.) and Andrew Brandt (Medina, Minn.) led the Gusties with identical scores of 219 (+5), good for a tie for 12th place. Krasaway’s performance also earned him MIAC men’s golfer of the week honors this past Tuesday. Max Savini (Fy., Anoka, Minn.) had a nice weekend as well, shooting a career low 68 in the second round and finished just one stroke back of Krasaway and Brandt, good for a tie for 15th place.

Tee times to come.
