It All Comes Down To This, Men’s Hockey Caps Regular Season Against Bethel This Weekend Posted on February 19th, 2015 by

The 2014-15 Gustavus Adolphus Men's Hockey Seniors.

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team will cap the regular season with a home-and-home Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series against the Royals of Bethel University this weekend.  The weekend will begin with a 7:00 p.m. game at the Bethel Ice Arena in Blaine on Friday, Feb. 20.  The series and regular season will come to an end at Don Roberts Ice Rink on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7:05 p.m.

Just like last weekend, the Gustavus men’s hockey team enters the weekend with a do-or-die mentality as it pushes for a spot in the 2015 MIAC Playoffs.  At 7-8-8 overall and 4-4-6 in the MIAC, the Gusties sit seventh in the conference standings with 21 points alongside Augsburg.  Saint John’s currently holds the fifth and final playoff spot with 24 points.  A loss or a tie would like be the end of Gustavus’s season.  At 3-18-2 overall and 1-12-1 in the MIAC, Bethel looks to play spoiler and gash the Gusties’ playoff push this weekend.
