St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team is set to take on Saint Mary’s University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference home-and-home series this weekend. The weekend will begin with a 7:00 p.m. game at the SMU Ice Arena in Winona on Friday, Jan. 23. The series will then conclude at Don Roberts Ice Rink on Saturday, Jan. 24 with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
Gustavus heads into the weekend sitting in a three-way tie for fourth in the MIAC standings alongside St. Thomas and Augsburg with 12 points. The Gusties are 5-6-6 overall and 2-2-4 in the MIAC after splitting with the Auggies in their last weekend. Saint Mary’s is alone in seventh place with 10 points at 7-8-0 overall and 2-2-2 in the MIAC. The Cardinals are currently on a roll riding a four-game winning-streak, which includes a sweep of Bethel last weekend.
