Women’s Hockey Remains At No. 7 In USCHO Poll, Jumps To No. 6 In D3Hockey Posted on November 18th, 2014 by

ST. PETER, MINN. – Following a series sweep of Concordia College this past weekend, the Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team remained at No. 7 in the USCHO.com Division III Women’s Poll, and jumped from No. 10 to No. 6 in the D3hockey.com Division III Women’s Poll. Both polls were updated Monday.

On Friday, Gustavus defeated the Cobbers by a score of 3-1 and followed that up with a 2-0 shutout of Concordia on Saturday. This weekend, the Gusties will face Hamline University, who Gustavus is 30-0-0 against all-time.

Gustavus is one of five teams to stay put in the USCHO.com poll. UW-Stevens Point and UW-River Falls switched places, with the Pointers jumping one place to No. 5 and the Falcons falling one place to No. 6. In the D3hockey.com poll, Gustavus made the jump from No. 10 to No. 6, taking the place of MIAC foe University of St. Thomas who was formally at the No. 6 spot. The Tommies fell out of the top ten after playing Saint Mary’s University to a 0-0 tie this past Saturday.
