Gustavus: After spending its first six matches searching for a victory, the Gusties found it in a big way in their seventh match when they defeated Crown College 6-0 in a non-conference matchup  on Tuesday evening in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. The Gusties were on the board less than ten minutes into the game when first-year midfielder Molly Johnston (Mendota Heights, Minn.) finished off a deflection off of Storm goalkeeper Hillary Brondsema at the 7:40 mark to score her first collegiate goal and put Gustavus up 1-0. The Gusties went on to score five more goals, including three from Maddison Ackiss (So., Fairbanks, Alaska), who has now tallied six goals on the season. Hannah Sturtz (Fy., Plymouth, Minn.) and Sophie Leininger (Fy., Plymouth, Minn.) also scored their first collegiate goals in the victory.

Saint Benedict: The Blazers are coming off a dominant 3-0 shutout over St. Olaf College this past Saturday in Northfield. Defenses dominated the first-half, which featured two shots from the Oles and none from the Blazers, however, the Blazer offense ignited in the second half by getting goals from sophomore forward Taylor Hedin, junior defender Megan Lenz and junior forward Aly Hoffman. Hoffman currently ranks fifth in the MIAC in points with 12.
