Back To Work, Men’s Soccer To Host Saint John’s On Saturday Posted on September 26th, 2014 by

Ryan Ragan and the rest of the Golden Gusties get back to work with a home match against Saint John's on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

St. Peter, Minn. – With no mid-week matches, the Gustavus Adolphus men’s soccer team will be well-rested and recharged as it continues its MIAC Schedule with a home match against Saint John’s University on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1:00 p.m. on the Gustie Soccer Field.  Gustavus heads into Saturday’s match with an overall record of 8-2-0 and an MIAC mark of 2-0-0, while Saint John’s heads in with an overall record of 4-4-0 and an MIAC mark of 1-1-0.  The Gusties defeated Concordia 2-0 in their last time out on Sept. 20 in Moorhead.  The Johnnies fell 2-1 to St. Olaf in their last outing on Sept. 20 in Northfield.

“It’s nice to get into the heart of our MAC schedule,” said Head Coach Mike Middleton.  “We’ve enjoyed the non-conference games – playing against some really good footballing sides.  We’ve also played a lot of games and done some traveling, which has been fun. But, a stretch without a mid-week game really feels like we are starting the conference section of the year and the lads are excited to get back into it.”
