Three Men’s Golfers Named GCAA Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars Posted on July 24th, 2014 by

Norman, Okla. – A trio of Gustavus Adolphus men’s golfers were named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday, July 23. Representing the Gusties on the Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Team was Matt Jensen (Sr., Edina, Minn.), Tyler McMorrow (Sr., St. Cloud, Minn.), and Andrew Oakes (Sr., Hermantown, Minn.). This is the second time that McMorrow and Oakes have received the honor, while Jensen earns the distinction for the first time in his career.

“What an honor for Matt, Tyler, and Andrew to receive following their senior seasons,” said Head Coach Scott Moe. “The guys took a great deal of pride in not only their efforts on the course but in the classroom as well. They took being a ‘student-athlete’ very seriously and it’s great to see them rewarded for their hard work.”

A total of 207 players in Division I, 75 in Division II and 11 in NAIA earned the honor. Additionally, 46 honorees were added to the previously released Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars.
