Northfield, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team recorded a 341 (+53) in the first round of the Carleton Invitational held at Northfield Golf Club.  Four of the seven teams were unable to finish the round due to darkness.  The remainder of the opening round will be played at 9:30 a.m., while round two will begin at 11:38 a.m.

Jordan Drenttel (Jr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) led the way for the Gusties with a nine-over-par 81 and is currently tied for the lead with St. Thomas’s Erin Dingman and Carleton’s Shannon Holden.

Mae Meierhenry (Fy., Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Sam Falk (Jr., Glenwood, Minn.) followed with a  12-over-par 84 and a 14-over-par 86, respectively.  Meierhenry currently sits sixth, while Falk ranks eighth.

The Gusties will tee off late tomorrow morning in the second round.
