St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s hockey team is set to return to conference play this weekend when it takes on Augsburg College in a two-game series on Friday, Jan. 17th and Saturday, Jan. 18th. The teams will square off in Minneapolis on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., before traveling to St. Peter on Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 p.m., opening faceoff.
Gustavus enters the weekend with a record of 8-3-2 overall and 6-0-0 in the MIAC. The Gusties are most recently coming off a split in a series against fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point last weekend, falling to the Pointers 5-2 on Friday night before defeating them 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Augsburg comes in with a record of 5-8-0 overall and 2-4-0 in league play. The Auggies are coming off a pair of wins over Finlandia University, winning 5-1 on Friday, Jan. 10th and 4-2 the next afternoon.
