St. Peter, Minn. – Following a weekend split with fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point, the Gustavus women’s hockey team has moved up to No. 7 in the latest USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Poll. The move comes after nearly a month at the No. 8 position in the poll.
Last weekend, the Gusties fell to the Pointers 5-2 on Friday night, before rallying to a 2-1 victory on Saturday afternoon. Gustavus is one of three teams that moved up one spot in this week’s poll after St. Scholastica dropped from sixth to ninth following a loss to unranked Adrian. The top five remained the same.
The Gustie women will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Minneapolis for a 7:00 p.m., contest with Augsburg.
