St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team will get back to work this weekend when it takes on a pair of Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opponents at home at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gusties will square off against Lake Forest College on Friday, Jan. 10 at 7:05 p.m. and Adrian University on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 7:05 p.m.
Gustavus is back on the ice for the first time since early December. The Gusties head into the second half of their season at 7-3-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the MIAC. Lake Forest was in action last on Tuesday, Jan. 7, falling to Concordia (Wis.) 6-4 at home. Top-ranked Adrian kicked off 2014 by sweeping Buffalo State by the scores of 6-2 and 4-3 last weekend in Buffalo, N.Y. The Foresters enter the weekend 5-8-0 overall and 4-5-0 in the NCHA, while the Bulldogs come in the No. 1 team in the country at 12-0-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the NCHA.
