Women’s Hockey Drops To No. 7 In Latest USCHO.com Poll Posted on November 11th, 2013 by

St. Peter, Minn. – Following a weekend series that featured a loss and a tie with then-No. 9 UW-Superior, the Gustavus women’s hockey team dropped to No. 7 in the most recent USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Poll, which was released Monday.  Previously ranked third in the poll, the Gusties drop four spots after evening their record at 1-1-1.  UW-Superior jumped four spots to No. 5 after improving to 3-0-1.

Plattsburgh State and Middlebury remained first and second, respectively, in the poll for the second straight week.  Gustavus is still the only team representing the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) in the top 10.

The Gusties will be back on the ice this weekend when they travel to Moorhead, Minn., to open their MIAC schedule against Concordia.  The two teams will square off on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., before concluding the series on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
