St. Peter, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus junior men’s golfer Andrew Oakes (Jr., Hermantown, Minn.) has been featured in an article written by Duluth News Tribune writer Kevin Pates. The article focuses Gustavus’s upcoming trip to the NCAA Men’s Golf Tournament and a rare accomplishment by its Hermantown, Minn. product. Within a span of 77 days this year, Oakes accomplished a golfer’s dream of a hole-in-one not once, not twice, but three times in practice rounds.
The Gustavus men’s golf team will depart for the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 11. The tournament will take place May 14-17 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, in Destin, Fla.
