Mankato, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team was able to hit the links in Minnesota for the first time this spring on Friday afternoon, competing in a dual against MSU, Mankato at North Links Golf Course. Gustavus posted scores of 341 and 395, while the Mavericks recorded scores of 331 and 363.

Pacing the Gusties on Friday was Sam Falk (So., Glenwood, Minn.).  Falk shot a six-over-par 78 to place first alongside MSU, Mankato’s Kanyapak Sethasompobe.

Finishing next in line for the Gusties was Kayleigh Dittes (Sr., Eden Prairie, Minn.) in sixth place with an 85 (+13).  Jordan Drenttel (So., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) and Chloe Altmann (Fy., Olivia, Minn.) also placed inside the top 10 in a tie for ninth with 89s (+17).

The Gustavus women’s golf team will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday when it competes in the Carleton Invitational held at the Northfield Country Club.
