St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s hockey team is set to kick of a two-game Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) series this weekend when it takes on Saint Mary’s at Don Roberts Ice Rink Friday night. Coming off a 1-1 tie Tuesday night in Superior, Wis., the Gusties are 18-0-1 (12-0-0 MIAC) this season while the Cardinals enter the series with a record of 6-10-1 (4-7-1 MIAC). Friday night’s opening face-off is set for 7:00 p.m. Following the conclusion of that game, the two teams will travel to Winona, Minn. for game two of the series on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
