Women’s Basketball To Tangle With St. Thomas For Top Spot In MIAC Posted on January 9th, 2013 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s basketball team welcomes the University of St. Thomas to Gus Young Court on Wednesday, Jan. 9 for a showdown to determine supremacy in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  The game between the two conference leaders is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m.

Gustavus, at 9-2 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC, will look to stay hot on its home court against a St. Thomas team that is ranked No. 3 in the country with a record of 10-1 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC.  Gustavus is coming off a hard-fought 66-56 victory over Macalester in its last outing on Monday night in St. Paul, while the Tommies cruised to a victory in their last contest, defeating Bethel 76-44 on their home court.
