Women’s Basketball Begins Week At Macalester On Monday Posted on January 7th, 2013 by

Mia Sandstrom scored a career-best 11 points after going 4-for-5 from the field last Saturday against Hamline.

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team will take to the road for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference showdown against Macalester College on Monday, Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Gustavus enters Monday night’s game coming off an 87-57 victory over Hamline in its last outing on Saturday in St. Peter. The Scots will look to get back on the winning track at home for the first time in 2013. Macalester has suffered two straight losses in league play, most recently falling to Concordia 72-47 on Saturday in Moorhead. At 8-2 overall and 7-0 in the MIAC, Gustavus looks to begin its first three game week of January on a high note. Macalester seeks the .500 mark on Monday, coming in at 6-6 overall and 3-4 in the MIAC.
