St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s hockey team will travel to the Bay State of Massachusetts this weekend for a pair of non-conference tests against New England Small College Athletic Conference opponents Amherst College and Williams College.  After flying into Boston on Thursday, the team will make the trek to Williamstown where it will set up shop for the weekend.

The Gusties will begin the trip on Friday by traveling to Orr Rink located on the campus of Amherst College to take on the Lord Jeffs at 6:00 p.m. (CT).  They will then return to the campus of Williams College for the weekend finale against the Ephs set to take place at 6:00 p.m. (CT) on Saturday at the Lansing Chapman Rink.

Gustavus is seeking a turnaround this weekend in non-conference action after being swept in its opening two conference series of the year by Bethel and St. Thomas, respectively.  The Gusties come into the weekend with an overall record of 3-5-0.  Both Ahmerst and Williams are just underway in their 2012-13 seasons.  Amherst enters at 2-0-0, while Williams is 1-1-0.
