St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s tennis team is beginning to heat up down the backstretch of the regular season, picking up another win this afternoon by defeating St. Olaf by the score of 9-0 at the Brown Outdoor Courts. The Gusties improve to 15-7 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC. Gustavus has swept its opponent in three-straight matches, completing those wins with straight-set victories across the board. St. Olaf ends its conference season with a mark of 7-3 and is now 10-3 overall.
“I’m very pleased with the way the team came out and competed today. We are beginning to hit our stride and that’s a great sign heading into our final two conference matches of the season,” said Head Coach Jon Carlson.
The Gustavus women’s tennis team will be back on the court Saturday, April 28 when it takes on Bethel at 9:30 a.m. in St. Paul.
