Women’s Hockey Hosts Bethel In MIAC Semifinals Thursday Posted on February 29th, 2012 by

The Gustavus women’s hockey team is set to take on Bethel University on Thursday night for a MIAC Playoff Semifinal game at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The puck is slated to drop at 7:00 p.m. The No. 1 Gusties finished the regular season with a 21-2-2 overall record and 16-1-1 mark in the MIAC, while the No. 5 Royals come in at 12-10-4 overall and 9-7-2 in conference play.

Gustavus enjoyed a first round bye, while Bethel upset fourth-seeded St. Olaf 5-4 in overtime on Tuesday night in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties and Royals have not seen each other since early November when the Three Crowns earned the regular season series sweep 5-1, 6-3.
