The Gustavus men’s hockey team is set to take on Saint Mary’s University in a home/away series this Friday, Feb. 10th and Saturday, Feb. 11th.  The Gusties and Cardinals with square-off at 7:05 p.m. on Friday night in Don Roberts Ice Rink and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night in the SMU Ice Arena in Winona, Minn.

The Gusties are currently in a race for the four remaining MIAC Playoff spots after St. Thomas clinched the 2011-12 MIAC Regular Season Championship with a sweep last weekend.  The Gusties and Pipers, who are tied with 13 points, sit behind St. Olaf and Saint John’s who are in second place behind the Tommies with 14 points.  Gustavus enters the weekend at 10-6-5 overall and 6-4-2 in the MIAC, while Saint Mary’s is at the at 4-16-1 overall and 1-10-1 in the MIAC.
