The Gustavus men's hockey team celebrates the program's rich history as part of Gustavus Adolphus College's Sesquicentennial celebration this weekend.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team comes off its bye week and heads back into MIAC play with a home series against Concordia College Friday and Saturday in St. Peter, Minn.  The Gusties and Cobbers will square off at 7:05 p.m. on Friday night and 2:05 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday will serve as the Gustavus men’s hockey Sesquicentennial celebration, as all former hockey alumni, family, and friends are invited back to campus to celebrate the Gustavus hockey program and the 150th anniversary of the college.  Saturday afternoon’s game will also be designated as “Parents Day” at Don Roberts Ice Rink.

Gustavus enters the weekend coming off a split with Saint John’s back on Jan. 13-14.  The Gusties are in sixth place in the conference standings at 4-4-0 in the MIAC and 10-5-2 overall.  Concordia was swept by the Johnnies in its last outing, coming into the weekend in a three-way tie for second place at 4-4-2 in the MIAC and 8-8-3 overall.
