Men’s Hockey Ranked No. 15 In USCHO.com Poll

The Gustavus men's hockey team is ranked in the top-15 for the first time this season.

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team is ranked No. 15 in this week’s USCHO.com Division III men’s hockey poll released Monday, Jan. 9.  The Gusties crack the top-15 for the first time this season.

Gustavus is coming off a pair of non-conference victories over St. Scholastica and No. 14 UW-Superior.  The Gusties edged both NCHA schools by one goal, defeating St. Scholastica 3-2 on Friday, Jan. 6 and UW-Superior 2-1 on Saturday, Jan. 7.  The win over UW-Superior was Gustavus’ second victory over a ranked opponent this season.  The Gusties took down No. 4 UW-River Falls 2-1 on Dec. 14.

Gustavus returns to MIAC play with an overall record of 8-4-2.  The Gusties will face Saint John’s in an away/home series this weekend starting with a 7:00 p.m. game against the Johnnies at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud and concluding with the series finale on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. in Don Roberts Ice Rink.
