    The Gustavus women’s golf team finished runner-up to St. Olaf at the 2011 MIAC Championships held Oct. 1-3 in Coon Rapids, Minn. The Gusties shot a team-record 961 (+97) over the three-day event, as Sam Falk led the way with a third place finish after shooting a 232 (+16).

    The Gustavus men’s soccer team played Carleton College to a 0-0 tie on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. Neither team could get the game-winner to earn three points in 110 minutes of play, as Gustavus moves to 9-1-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the MIAC, and Carleton goes to 3-3-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the MIAC.
