Men’s Golf In Fourth After Day Two Of Twin Cities Classic Posted on October 10th, 2010 by

Alex Kolquist is currently in sixth place after shooting a 78-67-145 (+1).

The Gustavus men’s golf team is currenlty in fourth place following day two of competition at the Twin Cities Classic.  The Gusties recorded a 306 in day one and a 289 in day two for a two-day total 595 (+19).  Illinois Wesleyan is in first place with a two-day score of 583 (296-287).  Carthage and St. Cloud State round out the top three in second (586) and third (587), respectively.  Day two was held at the Links at Northfork in Ramsey, Minn.

Leading the Gusties after day two is Alex Kolquist who shot a 78-67-145 (+1).  Kolquist is the only Gustavus golfer to crack the top-10, sitting in five-way tie for sixth place.  Tyler McMorrow is next in line in 15th after firing a 75-73-148 (+4).

Leading after the first two days is Riley Bauman of Carthage.  Bauman shot a 74-68-142 (-2), while Bemidji State’s Justin Johnson is in second place with a 143 (-1).  Carthage’s Anthony Burdi, Concordia-Moorhead’s Pat Deitz, and St. Cloud State’s Jesse Hafdal are currently in a three-way tie for third with a 144 (E).

The Twin Cities Classic will come to a close tomorrow at the Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minn.  The final day will begin with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m.
