The Gustavus women’s golf team is currently in fifth place with a team score 327 after the opening day of competition at the O’Brien National Invitational being held at the Warren Golf Course on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.  Methodist University leads after shooting a 316, while DePauw University is in second place with a 317, followed by UW-Eau Claire in third place with a 318.  Gustavus golfers Taylor Drenttel and Katie Schenfeld currently sit in 10th (37-42-79) and 12th (39-41-80), respectively.  St. Mary’s College golfer Marin Beagley is in the lead after shooting a 33-41-74 (+2).

Play will resume at 8:00 am tomorrow morning.
