Baseball Concludes Spring Break Trip With Split Against Oberlin

The Gustavus baseball team wrapped up its spring break trip to Arizona with a doubleheader split with Oberlin. The Gusties lost the first game 5-4 and then won the second game 7-3. The Gusties compiled a record of 6-2 in Arizona and are now 7-5 overall.

Women’s Tennis Tops Chapman 6-3 To Conclude California Tour

The Gustavus women's tennis won the final match of it's Spring trip to California 6-3 over Chapman University on Tuesday evening in Orange, Calif. The Gusties got four wins in the singles competition and two wins in doubles over the #12 ranked Chapman Panthers. Gustavus finished the California trip with a record of 2-1, as the Gusties now move to 17-9 on the season.

Baseball Defeats Elmhurst 12-8

The Gustavus baseball team got back on the winning track with a 12-8 win over Elmurst College in a nine-inning game in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon. Adam Bren was the winning pitcher, going six innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits. Chad Eul had a big day at the plate, going 3-for4 with one RBI and a double.

Skylar Davis Featured In College Sporting News/MIAC Profiles Of Excellence

Gustavus Adolphus Senior Skylar Davis (Palatine, IL) has been profiled by Rich Mies as a part of the College Sporting News/MIAC Profiles of Excellence series. Davis, the 13-time All-Conference performer, most recently had the top Gustavus finish at the NCAA Championships by taking third in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 15:39.12. It was the first time that Davis made the podium at the NCAA Championships, as he became a four-time All-American in the 1650 freestyle.

Women’s Tennis Defeats University Of Redlands 6-3

The Gustavus women's tennis team got a 6-3 win over the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif. on Monday afternoon. The Gusties won all three points in doubles, as Sierra Krebsbach, Megan Gaard, and Alex Erickson got wins in singles to seal the victory. The Gustavus women's team will wrap up it's California tour with a match against Chapman University on Tuesday at 10:00 am.

Alan Woitas Named MIAC Baseball Player Of The Week

Gustavus Adolphus senior shortstop/pitcher Alan Woitas (Sleepy Eye, Minn.) has been named MIAC Baseball Player of the Week for his efforts last week as the Gusties went 4-2 in non-conference play against opponents Loras College (L 12-4, L 4-3), Thomas College (W 12-1, W 4-1), and Marian University (W 9-7, W 9-2). Woitas hit .455 (10-22), tallying six RBIs, eight runs, two doubles, and a home run.

Baseball falls to Williams 8-7

The Gustavus baseball team saw its four-game win streak come to an end with an 8-7 loss to Williams College in a nine-inning game in Phoenix, Arizona on Monday afternoon. The Gusties scored one run in the top of the ninth inning to take a 7-4 lead, but Williams rallied to score four times in the bottom of the ninth to claim the come-from-behind win. Gustavus is now 5-4 overall on the season.

Mathewson And Thibodeau Return Home From NCGA Championships

Gustavus Adolphus junior Kelly Mathewson and first year Danielle Thibodeau returned home from competition at the 2010 NCGA Championships held in Blake Arena on the campus of Sprinfield College in Springfield, Mass. on March 26-27.

Women’s Tennis Falls To Pomona-Pitzer 5-4

The Gustavus women's tennis team started it's Spring Break trip with a 5-4 loss to Pomona Pitzer Colleges on Sunday, March 28, in Claremont, Calif. The Gusties got wins in singles from Katie Allan and Alex Erickson, as Frank and Krebsbach and Barau and Gaard won in doubles.

Baseball Sweeps Marian College 9-7 and 9-2

The Gustavus baseball team improved to 5-3 overall on the season by sweeping Marian College by the scores of 9-6 and 8-2 on Sunday afternoon in Phoenix, Arizona. The Gusties will play Elmhurst College of Illinois on Monday at 3:30 pm (CDT).
